Inhouse product
Projectile toys—toy guns, bows, catapults are designed to launch objects. The safety question is not whether they fire, but how much energy the projectile carries when it leaves the toy. The Toy Kinetic Energy Tester measures projectile speed across a known sensor distance, calculates kinetic energy from the entered projectile weight, and reports whether the value falls within the limits set by ISO 8124-1, EN 71-1, and ASTM F963. This Toy Kinetic Energy Tester is built for toy manufacturers, third-party safety laboratories, and quality inspection departments that need repeatable energy measurements without hand-timing a projectile through a chronograph.
The Toy Kinetic Energy Tester is supplied as a single model, GT-M18B, with dual measurement channels, a touch screen interface, and a built-in thermal printer configured as a complete benchtop test station.

The Toy Kinetic Energy Tester times projectile passage at 0.000001-second resolution. A projectile crossing a 300 mm sensor distance in milliseconds produces a speed value with enough precision that the resulting kinetic energy calculation carries meaningful digits. Hand-timed chronographs cannot match this resolution.
The internal channel accepts projectiles from 2 mm to 60 mm in diameter across a fixed 300 mm sensor distance. The external sensor adjusts from 25 mm to 330 mm, so larger or slower projectiles can be measured with a spacing that suits their flight path. You are not locked into one projectile size range.
Enter the projectile weight and sensor spacing, and the microcomputer calculates speed, kinetic energy, and both maximum and average values. The unit does not require you to export raw timing data and compute energy separately. The result appears on screen and prints from the thermal printer.
The thermal printer produces a physical record of the test result at the instrument. For incoming inspection or finished goods testing, the operator can attach the printout to the batch record without transferring data to a computer.

Struggling to time projectile speed accurately enough for a valid energy calculation?
The sensor system times passage at 0.000001-second resolution. The kinetic energy value that follows from that timing is calculated internally, not estimated from a hand-timed stopwatch.
Concerned about testing projectiles of different sizes on one instrument?
The internal channel handles 2 mm to 60 mm projectiles, and the external sensor adjusts from 25 mm to 330 mm. Small pellets and larger darts can both be measured without changing the instrument configuration.
Tired of manually calculating kinetic energy from raw timing data?
The microcomputer does the calculation. Enter the projectile weight and sensor spacing, and the unit reports speed, kinetic energy, maximum, and average. The result is ready to print.
Need a test record that can go straight into a batch file?
The thermal printer produces a physical result at the instrument. The operator does not need to copy values from a screen or transfer files before the record is complete.
We provide a 1-year manufacturer's warranty covering parts and labor. Technical support, installation assistance, and operational training are also available. Replacement parts and consumables are available throughout the product's service life.
